This was an exciting day because it felt like such a normal thing to do: go to the park.
It took me, a nurse, and an occupational therapist to be able to do it all and carry everything.
But we did it, and it was fun.
This is trach cares. This is every single day.
This use to be traumatic every single time, but it's our daily life, and we've gotten good at it and quick with it.
This is every day. This was yesterday, this is today, and this will be tomorrow.
There are times when I think, "Everything is normal." And I feel really normal.
And then I go to a friend's house, and I'm like, "Oh, we're not normal."
This was the first time he sat in the grass.
We can now take him off the vent for 15 minutes a day, so we pop outside to play on the swing or just for a change of scenery.
